Gas bills, electricity bills, water bills - none are getting cheaper. These are a necessity in 21st centrury England - or are they? Up until now they have all been affordable and our cost of living has meant that we have not questioned the amount on the bill. But now life is changing and we should start asking questions and looking for alternatives.
Take tap water - Drinkable quality at a cost. So why do we wash our car with it? Why do we water plants with it? Why do we flush the toilet with it? Waste, waste, waste. If you are fortunate enough not to have a water meter then you probably dont worry about wastage. But if you do have a water meter then think again!
Gas and electricity - how much did your bill go up this year and how much will it go up each year over the next 20 years? Still not bothered? Think again! There may be simple changes you can do to save electricity and gas, so you have more money for another holiday!
What do you do when your local Council decide to charge you for taking your waste away. 50p per kilo. Maybe you can afford it, maybe you begrudge it, maybe you dont care. Its your money and there are things you can do to save this added expenditure.
